Keel Farms Christmas Wine Run 5k
The Keel Farms Christmas Wine Run 5k is scheduled for December 12 and 13, 2026 at Keel and Curley Winery in Plant City, Florida. The event is a chip timed 5k run and walk that starts and finishes at the winery.
Registration includes a super soft ring spun cotton T-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal, a chip timed race bib, online results, and a pour of wine at the finish. Packet pickup takes place the day before the event at the winery and on the day of each event; a friend may pick up a packet with the participant QR code.
The course is a scenic two loop tour of the farm with a mix of grass, dirt, gravel and paved sections. The route goes through blueberry and farm areas, includes several turns, and can be muddy; it is not described as an optimal course for fast personal records. Runners and walkers are both welcome.
Age group awards are offered for the top three finishers in each age category. Ten year categories are used: 19 and under; 20 to 29; 30 to 39; 40 to 49; 50 to 59; 60 to 69; 70 to 79; and 80 and over. Age group winners must start with the first group to be eligible. There will be no age group ceremony and awards are available for pickup on the day of the event only; results are posted online at the timing provider.
The event partners with Florida Giant Dog Rescue, whose mission is to rescue, re home, and reduce the number of gentle giant dogs in need through commitment, compassion, and community engagement.
Minor participants receive discounted registration that includes a shirt, medal, and bib but not a wine glass or pour. Strollers are allowed but not recommended because of uneven ground; children in strollers may participate for free and do not need to register.
