Tampa Electric's Run for the Manatees

Tampa Electric's Run for the Manatees takes place on December 12, 2026, at the Florida Conservation and Technology Center (FCTC), 321 Noonan Branch Rd, Apollo Beach, FL 33572. The event route passes the Manatee Viewing Center and follows trails on the FCTC campus. The event marks the 40th anniversary of the Manatee Viewing Center and supports manatee conservation and related research with proceeds donated to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

Two participation options are offered:

• 5K in-person at the FCTC campus
• Virtual 5K completed by participants on a chosen day, time, and course

Virtual participants will not join the in-person event. Virtual registrants receive an event shirt and finisher medal mailed to U.S. addresses the week after the event; results for virtual participants are not included with chip timed results and no submission is required. In-person participants must wear an official 2026 race bib distributed at pre-race pick-up or race morning check in; bibs, shirts, and finisher medals left unclaimed on race morning will not be mailed. Race day registration is not available. Pets are not permitted on site. Due to limited parking, carpooling is suggested. Awards are presented to first place male and female finishers in age groups 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 plus.
