The Run Tampa Tinsel Run is scheduled for Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Al Lopez Park, 4810 N. Himes Ave., Tampa, FL 33614. The event offers these distances:
- 5K
- Virtual 5K
- 1 Mile Fun Run
Event details
The in-person 5K is chip timed. The 1 Mile Fun Run is not timed; participants under 17 must be with a parent. Gender-specific shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed by December 3; the female cut is noted to run small. The virtual 5K includes a mailed shirt and finisher medal. All finishers receive a unique gnome finisher medal or finisher item.
Awards for the 5K include stuffed gnome awards to the top three overall male and female finishers, age-group awards three deep across brackets from Under 15 through 80+, running shoes for first place adult male/female and first place male/female under 15, $20 gift cards for first place in each age group, and two middle-of-the-pack awards valued at $100 toward running shoes.
Pre-race packet pickup is offered on Wednesday, December 17 at The Running Center and Thursday, December 18 at Feet First. On race day, activities, start/finish, and packet pickup are at Shelter 315 on the back side of Al Lopez Park. Parking is free and available anywhere in the park. Race bib transfers are permitted through the event registration system if completed by December 6. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
