MammothMarch Michigan : Saturday, August 15, 2026
MammothMarch Michigan is sold out and a wait list is used to notify people if additional tickets become available on a first come, first served basis. The event returns to Stony Creek Metropark, a park of more than 4,400 acres that includes woodlands, wetlands, tallgrass prairies, lakeview trails, and open fields.
The format is a single-circuit loop covering 20 miles with an 8 hour target. There is no official timekeeping; participants who complete the distance receive a finisher medal and a personalized certificate. For those who stop before the finish, certificates state the mileage covered.
The route includes paved lakeview trails, forested hiking trails, nature paths and dirt sections, with a total elevation gain of about 750 ft. Terrain varies between unpaved hiking trails, dirt trails, forest floor and paved sections.
Aid stations and water stops are positioned roughly every 5 to 7 miles and provide toilets, food and drinks. These refreshments are included in the ticket price and may include water, energy drinks, electrolytes, fruit, bars and sandwiches. The per-vehicle park entrance fee is included in the ticket price and complimentary parking is available on site.
Additional event features include hiking passes with 2026 stamps, event merchandise available for pick up on event day, and a limited number of discounted hotel rooms secured through the event travel partner. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
