TURKEY TRAIL TROT & THE LEFTOVERS RACE
The event spans two days on Thanksgiving and the following Friday at Stony Creek Metropark in Shelby Township, Michigan. Races take place on 100% dirt trails that include wide paths and single track, and runners will encounter leaves, rocks, roots, twists, turns, and rolling to steep hills. This is not a road race.

- 4 Mile
- 2 Mile
Thursday offers the half marathon plus 6, 4, and 2 mile options. Friday repeats the 6, 4, and 2 mile options. A two day bundle lets entrants combine any Thursday distance with any Friday distance for a reduced second-event fee; early bundle entrants will receive custom gloves and a free drink coupon for the onsite coffee truck.
Race services and policies include well-marked courses, on-course aid stations, finish line snacks and water, chip timing, and age group and overall awards. All finishers receive a medal for each day; medals for Thursday and Friday connect for those who complete both days. A portion of registration proceeds supports OPC Meals on Wheels and Stony Creek Metropark trail maintenance.
Additional notes: there is a 3.0 hour time limit for all distances, no strollers or dogs allowed on course, children may participate with adult supervision, and the event strongly encourages reusable hydration as cupless racing will be used. Stony Creek Metropark requires a park pass for vehicles; daily passes apply except on Thanksgiving day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
