Mighty Gobbler 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
The Mighty Gobbler is a Thanksgiving Day running tradition held on November 26, 2026 in Troy, Michigan. The event is hosted by Lutheran Church of the Master and offers both a 5K run/walk and a 1 Mile fun run/walk.

The 5K course is USATF certified and the route winds through residential neighborhoods and commercial areas, using a mixture of roads and sidewalks. Participants receive T-shirts and awards.
Registration opens February 1, 2026. Registration is available online and in person at packet pickup; organizers recommend registering before Thursday to avoid long lines. Registration fees listed by the organizer are $30 for the 5K and $25 for the 1 Mile.
Packet pickup is available the day before at Lutheran Church of the Master, 3333 Coolidge Highway, Troy, and on race day at 3290 W Big Beaver Road, Troy.
Since 2015 the event has donated over $120,000 and over 10,000 canned goods to the community. Proceeds from this year's race will go to Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers and Micah 6 Community. A raffle offers tickets in exchange for canned goods to be donated to Troy People Concerned; donated cans must not be past expiration to be eligible.
