Event overview
The Maine Running Hall of Fame 5K is scheduled for Sunday, June 7, 2026, in Portland, Maine. The race is held in memory of Julius Marzul and makes donations to the Maine Running Hall of Fame. Walkers are welcome.
Course and logistics
The course is a counter-clockwise loop around Back Cove, starting at the Back Cove soccer fields and ending at 84 Baxter Blvd. Registration fees listed on the event page include a wicked early-bird rate of $26 (by the Maine Marathon race day, Oct 5), an early-bird rate of $29 through April 1, $34 thereafter, and packet pickup or race-day registration at $39 at Marathon Sports in Portland. Price information notes an increase after March 31, 2026.
Shirts are provided to all registrants by May 10. Awards include cash prizes for overall winners and prizes in overall, age-group, and team categories. The event offers a free pizza buffet at Otto's Pizza, 250 Read St, Portland. The race policy states no refunds; in the event of catastrophic weather, a public health crisis, or other extreme events, organizers will attempt to move the race to an alternate date or convert it to a virtual event where participants run the course and submit results.
