Maguire's Midcoast Community Challenge
Maguire's Midcoast Community Challenge is a 3.1 mile obstacle and fitness course held in Wiscasset on 10/10/2026. The course is based around the Wiscasset Community Center and the West Wood Trails and includes at least ten obstacles described as moderate in difficulty. The route uses uneven terrain and features water, mud and rocks; some obstacles require upper body strength.
The event is not presented as a standard 5K run. It is scheduled to take place rain or shine and has an estimated walking completion time of about one and a half hours. Pre registration is available; pre registration is noted as less expensive than registering on site. Registration opens 9/2/2026 and closes 10/9/2026. The listed registration fee is $45.00.
Participants are asked to bring photo identification whether pre registered or not. Recommended items include shoes that participants do not mind getting ruined and clothing that allows free movement and can get wet or dirty.
