Event Overview
Madre's Fiesta is an annual running event held on May 9 on the Sandridge Trail in Middleburg, Florida. It offers several distances on looped courses within the Old Jennings Recreation Area.
Distances
The event features the following race categories:
- Half Marathon (runs a 6.65-mile loop twice)
- 14K (runs a 4.2-mile loop twice)
- 7K (one 4.2-mile loop)
- Kid's Fun Run (1 mile)
Course & Aid Stations
All courses use wide, non-technical trails described as "flat-ish." The event is a cupless race; participants must bring their own hydration pack or bottle. There will be one main aid station for all events, with a second station for half marathoners approximately halfway through each loop. Aid stations provide water, electrolytes, and standard fare.
Amenities & Awards
A post-race fiesta includes hot food cooked on-site, free for runners and volunteers. Custom medals are awarded. Awards are given for Overall, Master's, and Grand Master's divisions, as well as a "Slow A$$" award. The event has partnered with local running groups Mom's on the Run and Girls on the Run.
