Event Overview
The Madison Marathon is a running event in Madison, Wisconsin. It offers three race distances: the Full Marathon, the Half Marathon, and a 10K. All races start and finish on Capitol Square.
Race Details
The event includes several organized activities across the weekend. There is an expo and packet pickup at the Monona Terrace on the Friday and Saturday before race day. Two shake-out runs are led by Fleet Feet Madison & Sun Prairie at One Social Food Hall. The marathon begins at 7:00 AM, with the half marathon and 10K starting at 7:20 AM on Sunday. Will call packet pickup is available on race morning for those who have pre-purchased it.
Finisher Medal
Participants in all three race distances receive a finisher medal. The 2026 medal is described as the final piece in a four-year series. Runners who complete all four years earn an additional center coin.
