Madison Marathon
The Madison Marathon is an annual road race held around mid-November with multiple distance options and an associated race weekend. The event includes in-person expo and packet pick up at Monona Terrace on the Friday and Saturday before race day, plus will call packet pick up on race day that must be pre-purchased. An organized shake out run led by Fleet Feet Madison and Sun Prairie is scheduled on the day before the races.
Races start and finish on the Capitol Square and the course passes through several notable areas of Madison. Distances offered:
- Full Marathon
- Half Marathon
- 10K
The 2026 medal is the final piece in a four-year series; completing all four years earns a center coin. All race distances receive the 2026 medal. The event program includes an ambassador program, volunteer opportunities, and public results and race photos after the event. The race is organized by Madison Festivals, Inc. Entering the event constitutes implied consent to the event's use of a participant's image or likeness in photographs, videos, and related publications.
