MacTuffX Edinburgh takes place at Saughton Sports Complex, Stevenson Dr, EH11 3BQ in Edinburgh. The event is part of the MacTuffX Fitness Racing series.
Competition formats use repeated 400 m and 800 m efforts across solo, doubles and team relay categories. All categories have an age restriction of 18 or older. Entries include a t-shirt, a medal and free event photos; spectator entry is free.

- Solo 2X - 10x800 m
- Doubles X - 10x400 m (team)
- Doubles 2X - 10x800 m (team)
- Relay X 3-person team - 10x400 m
- Relay X 4-person team - 10x400 m

- Relay 2X 3-person team - 10x800 m
- Relay 2X 4-person team - 10x800 m
- Relay 2X 5-person team - 10x800 m
