Mactaquac Trail Race
The Mactaquac Trail Race takes place at Mactaquac Provincial Park in Mactaquac, New Brunswick on October 4, 2026. The event offers two trail distances with a mix of single track and double track, multiple bridges, and two stream crossings. The course is not very hilly but is rarely flat; surfaces can be slippery and roots may be exposed.
Distances:
- 10K One loop
- 20K Two loops
There is no day-of registration; online registration closes on October 2. There are no refunds or deferrals, but a transfer period will open if the race sells out. Entry fees do not include shirts or medals; participants will receive event swag and there will be draw prizes after the race.
Water stations will be nearly cup-less, so participants must bring their own cup, bottle, or hydration bladder. Massages will be provided by massage therapy students from Eastern College. No official course map is published, but reconnaissance runs will be organized before the event and announced on the race Facebook page.
Logistics note: main parking is on the west side of Route 105 and the start is at the small parking lot by the Beaver Pond. A bag drop is available. Dogs and strollers are not permitted and there is no competitive category for walkers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
