About the race
The Run for KidSport is an untimed fundraising event on Sunday, November 1, 2026, based at Picaroons Roundhouse in Fredericton. Presented by Phoenix Petroleum Ltd., Petroleum Measurement Integrators Ltd., Fredericton Marathon and Sport New Brunswick, the event raises funds for KidSport NB, a charity that works to remove financial barriers to organized sport for children.
The event offers three out-and-back run/walk distances along the city riverfront trail system to and from Carleton Park near Picaroons Roundhouse:
- 3 km run/walk
- 5 km run/walk
- 8 km run/walk
Registration requires a minimum donation of CA$25 to KidSport NB plus processing fees; registration fees go directly to KidSport NB and registration information is shared for tax receipt purposes only. The first 200 registered participants receive a commemorative swag item. Race kit pick-up is held at Picaroons Roundhouse on the weekend of the event.
For safety on the narrow trail, jog/walking strollers and dogs are not permitted on the course; participants with a stroller or dog will be removed from the course. Race day registration is available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
