MAC Triathlon : Mitchell Aquatic Center, Mitchell SD
The MAC Triathlon is scheduled for June 6, 2026 and takes place at the Mitchell Aquatic Center in Mitchell, South Dakota. The course starts and finishes at the aquatic center and uses nearby roads and park paths for the bike and run segments.
The event distance format includes:
- 500 m wave swim at the Mitchell Aquatic Center
- 14 miles bike route around the east side of Mitchell
- 5 km run through areas near Hitchcock Park
Packet pick-up is scheduled the day before the race at Anytime Fitness in Mitchell. There is very limited opportunity for packet pick-up at the transition area on race day.
Participants must follow event regulations. A swim cap is mandatory and participants should provide their own; caps may be available for sale. A timing chip must be worn and firmly strapped to the ankle for the entire event. Helmets are required for the bike segment and headphones with musical devices are not allowed at any time. Race numbers must be visible to officials, with bibs facing forward at the finish; helmet and bike number placement requirements apply.
