Event Details
The Heart & Sole 5K takes place on May 2, 2026, in Mitchell, South Dakota. The event is a run/walk starting and finishing on Norway Street across from the DWU/Avera Sports & Wellness Complex.
Cause
Proceeds from the race go toward financial assistance for patients in Mitchell and the surrounding communities who are undergoing cancer treatment. All funds remain local.
Route
The 5 km course begins at 500 W Norway Avenue on the campus of the DWU/Avera Sports & Wellness Complex. The route proceeds on city streets including Norway Street, Duff Street, Hurst Avenue, Rowley Street, Cabelas Drive, and Spruce Street before returning to Norway Avenue.
