Luv 2 Run Portland 5K
The Luv 2 Run Portland 5K is a running and walking event held in Portland, Maine. The race takes place on the Back Cove Trail, featuring a scenic off-road course. The event focuses on a traditional racing environment without live bands or flavored water, providing plain water, fresh fruit, and pastries to participants.

Registered participants who sign up by May 10th receive a colorful T-shirt, with additional shirts available after that date while supplies last. Cash prizes are awarded to the overall winners. Special awards in the form of pint glasses are presented to the top male and female finishers overall, as well as the top two finishers in various age groups. Team awards are also available for the first-place running club, corporate team, or open teams of four or more people.
A post-race party is held at the Charles J Loring Amvets Post 25 on Washington Avenue. Participants aged 21 and older are eligible for one complimentary mimosa, with non-alcoholic options also provided. The race serves as a fundraiser, making donations to the Sons of the Amvets Michael Shone Scholarship.
