Luv 2 Run Portland 5K
The Luv 2 Run Portland 5K is a community walk and run held on June 13, 2027, along the Back Cove Trail in Portland, Maine. The event uses scenic off road course sections and includes pre-race remarks by the race director.
Registration uses tiered entry fees: $26 by January 1, $29 by April 1, $34 thereafter, and $39 on race day. Packet pickup and race day registration are located at Marathon Sports, 309 Marginal Way, Portland. Directions list the start area near 84 Baxter Blvd. Packet pickup is 0.4 miles from the finish and 0.9 miles from the start; maps will be provided and driving time is described as under five minutes between locations. Organizers allow a short interval between packet pickup closing and race start to allow participants to assemble.
The event offers cash prizes for overall winners and pint glass awards for top finishers, plus team prizes for the first running club, corporate, or open teams of four or more. Additional race features include colorful Luv2Run T-shirts distributed by May 10 as available, fresh fruit and pastries, a 50/50 raffle with $2 chances, and a post-race party at Charles J Loring Amvets Post 25, 186 Washington Ave, Portland. Participants age 21 and over may receive one complimentary mimosa; non-alcoholic mimosas are available and under 21 must stay with a parent.
No refunds are offered. If catastrophic weather, a public health crisis, or other extreme events prevent the in-person race, organizers will seek an alternate date or convert the event to a virtual format where participants run the course and submit results.
