Tap O'noth Hill Race

The Tap O’Noth Hill Race, organized by Insch Trail Running Club, is an AS category hill race held in Rhynie, Aberdeenshire. The main race covers 7.5 km with 390 meters of ascent, starting from the playing fields in Rhynie and ascending to the trig point atop Tap O’Noth hill. The course avoids roads where possible, traversing fields and heather, with marshals at key points and a safe road crossing near the finish.

The event is part of the Rhynie Gala, featuring family-friendly activities and a BBQ. Entry is open to runners over 17, with prizes for top finishers and age categories. A junior race is planned to return in 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
