Picardy 5k 2026
The Picardy 5k is a community fundraising 5 km held in Insch, Aberdeenshire, organised in partnership by Jog Scotland Insch (JSI) and Bennachie Leisure Centre (BLC). The event supports the Bennachie Leisure Centre Charity, with proceeds directed to wellbeing and community services provided by BLC. Organisers have applied for a Scottish Event Licence.
Entry is by a suggested donation of £15. Entry and timing are provided by Thistle Timing; timing chips are included with the race number and results will be posted on the Thistle Timing results website. The route, created by members of Jog Scotland Insch, takes in the village of Insch and the surrounding countryside.
Facilities at Bennachie Leisure Centre include changing rooms, toilets, showers, a secure bag drop, and a café with refreshments. Parking is available at the Bennachie Leisure Centre front car park and the Insch village car park; local residents are asked to walk where possible.
Safety arrangements include marshals at road crossings, but roads on the route will not be closed, and personal responsibility for safety remains with each participant.
