Event overview
Luck O' the Lake is a road running event in Excelsior, Minnesota, held on March 21, 2026. The course runs along Lake Minnetonka and finishes at Excelsior Brewing Company, 421 3rd Street, Excelsior. Race starts occur in front of Lakes Area Realty and the course ends in front of Aloom Consignment. The course is an open road course and vehicles will be on the streets. Dogs are not allowed on the course.

Race services and logistics
Packet pick-up and limited walk-up registration are available on the days before and the day of the event at Excelsior Brewing Company. Online registration closes on March 19, and the registration option that includes a race shirt closes on February 27. Race shirts for 2026 are unisex, run large, and there is an option to opt out. Donuts are included with some registrations while supplies last. The 5k includes timing services.
Prizes and post-race
5k winners receive a gift certificate for a new pair of shoes at The Lakes Running Co. Age-group winners receive a mailed prize. The post-race party at Excelsior Brewing Company features locally brewed beer, post-race snacks, and a performance by Rince na Griene Irish Dancers.
