Luck O' the Lake Run
The Luck O' the Lake Run is a St. Patrick's Day themed community event in Excelsior, Minnesota. It offers three different ways to participate. Options include a 5K run, a 1-mile fun run or walk, and a Lazy Leprechaun option for those who want to join the post-race celebration directly.
The Lazy Leprechaun involves a short walk from the start to the finish area. All participants can enjoy a post-race party at Excelsior Brewing Company, which includes beer and donuts. Donuts are provided while supplies last.
Participants receive a race shirt with dri-fit material, though it is possible to opt out. Shirts are unisex and run large. Winners of the 5K receive a gift certificate for shoes from The Lakes Running Co. Age group winners also receive prizes.
Packet pickup and registration happen on the Friday and Saturday before the race at Excelsior Brewing Company. Online registration closes at midnight on March 19. The race course is on open roads where vehicles may be present, and dogs are not allowed on the course.
Proceeds support the Excelsior-Lake Minnetonka Chamber of Commerce. The event is part of the Lake Minnetonka Running Series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
