Luck O’ the Lake in Excelsior, MN
Luck O’ the Lake is a St. Patrick’s Day themed community event taking place on March 20, 2027 in Excelsior, Minnesota. The event is organized by the Excelsior-Lake Minnetonka Chamber of Commerce and combines running, walking, and a non-running participation option to support the chamber's mission.
Participants can choose from the following distance options:
- 5K run
- 1 mile fun run / walk
- Lazy Leprechaun non running option
The event includes a post-race celebration with beer and donuts at the finish; donuts are available while supplies last. Winners of the 5K receive a gift certificate for a new pair of shoes from The Lakes Running Co. and winners in each age group are sent a prize. Race shirts are unisex, tend to run large, and there is an option to opt out; additional shirts are available for purchase in limited quantities during bib pickup.
Packet pick-up and registration take place at Excelsior Brewing Company the day before and on the day of the event. The course is an open road route with vehicles on the streets; the race starts in front of Lakes Area Realty and finishes in front of Aloom Consignment.
