Event overview
Luck O' the Lake Run takes place in Excelsior, Minnesota, on Saturday, March 21, 2026. The event includes multiple running distances along the shores of Lake Minnetonka and finishes at Excelsior Brewing Company, where post-race food and locally brewed beer are available. A performance by the Rince na Griene Irish Dancers is scheduled as part of the post-race activities. Winners of the 5k receive a gift certificate for a new pair of shoes at The Lakes Running Co. Winners in each age group will receive a prize.

Course, schedule and rules
The race starts in front of Lakes Area Realty and ends in front of Aloom Consignment. This is an open road course and vehicles will be on the streets. Dogs are not allowed on the course.
Registration, packet pick-up and race items
Online registration closes March 19. Limited walk-up registration and packet pick-up are available on March 20 and March 21 at Excelsior Brewing Company. The registration option that includes a race shirt closes February 27. Registration packages include items that vary by distance, such as race bibs, a 2026 race shirt (option to opt out), donuts while supplies last, timing services for the 5k, medals for the 1-mile, pint glasses, and one drink ticket for some entries.
