Event overview
The Monster Dash is a family-friendly run hosted by Lake-Sumter State College on the Leesburg campus. The course runs around Silver Lake and includes timed results for participants. The event offers in-person and virtual options and takes place on October 31, 2026. Proceeds benefit the LSSC Foundation, which supports scholarships and education at the college.

All registered participants receive a t-shirt. Finisher medals are guaranteed only to registrations placed on or before October 16, 2026. Placement recognition is given to the top three male and female finishers within age groups that include 10 & Under, 11-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 & Over. A costume contest will award trophies to the top three costumes. Race packet pick-up is available on race day at the athletic field behind the gym. Registration prices are listed per event and may increase after August 5, 2026. Sponsorship and vendor opportunities are available and are acknowledged on event materials.
