LSSC Monster Dash
The LSSC Monster Dash takes place on October 31, 2026 at the Lake-Sumter State College Leesburg Campus and follows a course around Silver Lake behind the campus. The event is described as family friendly and includes in-person and virtual options.

- 5K
- 10K
- Virtual Racer
All registered participants receive a t-shirt and gift bag. Finisher medals will be given to runners who registered on or before October 16, 2026. Race packet pick-up is held on race day on the athletic field behind the gym.
The event is timed and placement recognition is given to top finishers. Placement recognition and awards are organized by male and female categories across standard age groups, with prizes announced after the race. A costume contest is part of the event and trophies are awarded to the top three costumes.
Proceeds from the Monster Dash benefit the LSSC Foundation to support scholarships and education at Lake-Sumter State College. Sponsorship levels are available and sponsors are acknowledged on event materials and during the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
