Event overview
The Monster Dash is a family-friendly race held around Silver Lake behind the Leesburg Campus of Lake-Sumter State College. The event takes place on October 31, 2026, at the college campus, 9501 US Highway 441, Leesburg, FL 34788. The course includes scenic views of Silver Lake. The race is timed and placement recognition is announced for top finishers in each age category. Proceeds benefit the LSSC Foundation to support scholarships and education.

Race details and extras
All registered participants receive a t-shirt and a finisher medal; t-shirts and medals are guaranteed for registrations on or before October 16, 2026. Race packet pick-up is available on race day at the athletic field behind the gym. Placement recognition is given to the top three male and female finishers in these age groups: 10 & Under, 11-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & Over. A costume contest awards trophies to the top three costumes. Sponsorship opportunities are offered, and an exclusive presenting sponsor is listed for the event.
