Mount Dora Half Marathon & 5K : Overview
The event takes place December 20-21, 2025 in Mount Dora, Florida. It offers two race distances:
- 5K
- Half marathon (13.1 miles)
Both the half marathon and the 5K are limited to 1,300 entries each. A combined option called the Dora Double covers both races and includes race items from each event.
Race details
Start and packet-pickup locations are in downtown Mount Dora: Donnelly Park (530 N Donnelly St) and Elizabeth Evans Park (100 N Donnelly St). Packet pickup is available on the days before the event at Donnelly Park and there is race-day pickup at 530 N Donnelly Park.
The half marathon is a USATF certified course (FL12108EBM). The route uses city streets, runs around Lake Gertrude, and follows Lakeshore Drive along Lake Dora. Aid and support on the half marathon include water stations (Miles 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 12), Gatorade (Miles 3, 7, 11), bathroom locations, and a gel station at Mile 7. The event is chip timed with disposable chips on the back of bibs. There is a course cutoff of 3 hours 25 minutes.
Awards are given to overall and age-group finishers; finishers receive medals and shirts while supplies last. Prohibited on course: strollers, bikes, skates, scooters, and dogs; use of headphones is discouraged.
