Mount Dora Half Marathon & 5K
The Mount Dora Half Marathon & 5K is a two day road racing event in Mount Dora, Florida, held December 19 and 20, 2026. It features a Saturday 5K run/walk and a Sunday single loop half marathon.
The course runs through waterfront neighborhoods and lake-hugging roadways with tree-lined sections and gentle rolling hills. The half marathon is USATF certified (#FL23043JK). The event offers chip timing with disposable chips attached to the back of the race bib.
Distances:
- Dora Double: 16.2 Miles (5K plus half marathon)
- Half Marathon: 13.1 Miles
- 5K run/walk: 3.1 Miles
Race logistics note packet pickup at Donnelly Park and a separate half marathon start at Elizabeth Evans Park. Packet pickup is available Friday through Sunday and on race day. The course will be closed to vehicular traffic during race operations. Finisher medals are awarded to all finishers in both the half marathon and the 5K.
The event has participant restrictions: strollers, skateboards, roller blades, unauthorized bicycles and other wheeled devices are not allowed on the course, and animals are not permitted in course or start and finish areas. Participants requiring the assistance of a specially trained service animal should contact the event organizer. Shirt sizes are not guaranteed for race day registration. Food and refreshments will be provided.
A portion of proceeds supports the Mount Dora High School FFA and cheerleading teams and the Run 4 a Cause Foundation. Awards are given to top overall and age group finishers as listed by the organizer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
