Event overview
The Mount Dora Half Marathon & 5K takes place in Mount Dora, Florida on December 20-21, 2025. The event offers two race options and a combined entry called the Dora Double. Both the half marathon and the 5K are limited to 1,300 entries each. There is no virtual option for either distance. The half marathon is USATF certified (FL12108EBM). Timing is chip based with disposable chips attached to the back of the bib.

Course, support and rules
The half marathon route runs through downtown Mount Dora, around Lake Gertrude and along the shore of Lake Dora on Lakeshore Drive. Aid and support on the half course include water stations at miles 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 and 12; Gatorade at miles 3, 7 and 11; restroom locations at miles 1, 3, 4.5, 7, 9 and 11; and gel at mile 7. West Volusia Runners provide pacers at multiple target finish times.
Prohibited on course are strollers, bicycles, roller skates, inline skates, scooters and dogs. The use of headphones is strongly discouraged. The course has a cutoff of 3 hours and 25 minutes; roads will reopen after the permitted window. Packet pick-up and race start locations are centered around Donnelly Park and Elizabeth Evans Park. Finisher medals and shirts are provided while supplies last; 5K shirts are mixed poly-cotton and half marathon shirts are technical fabric.
