Loveland Turkey Trot : 25th Annual 5K
The Loveland Turkey Trot is a family-friendly Thanksgiving morning run and walk held in Loveland, Colorado. The event is the 25th annual 5K with the starting and finish lines located at Northern Colorado Medical Center: Loveland Campus, 2000 N Boise Ave, Loveland, CO 80538. Participants may run or walk the course in person or take part virtually; virtual participants receive event shirts but are not eligible for prizes.
The event is organized as a not-for-profit fundraiser. One hundred percent of proceeds benefit the BridgeWell Foundation of Northern Colorado. Fundraising is available and registration fees count toward individual fundraising totals; fundraisers can earn prizes tied to their fundraising.
Registration includes age-based categories and fees: a youth rate for ages 5–17, adult rates that vary by registration period, and a special li'l tater trotter rate for ages 0–4 using strollers or wagons. The first 2,000 registered participants ages 5 and over are guaranteed a 25th anniversary long-sleeved tech shirt. All bibs for participants ages 5 and up are chipped for timing. Top runners in each age group receive a limited edition medal and a pie.
Event policies state no refunds, participation at one’s own risk in adverse weather, mandatory registration and bibs for anyone on the course, rules for dogs on 6-foot non-retractable leashes, and registration and bib requirements for strollers and wagons.
