The event centers on a 5K course that starts at Northern Colorado Medical Center: Loveland Campus and follows Boise Avenue, the Boyd Lake State Park Trail, and local streets before finishing along the Wellness Walk behind the hospital. Race Village is located in the hospital parking lot and includes food trucks, vendor booths, and a photo booth. A limited-edition 25th anniversary shirt is offered and shirts run large, with a sizing recommendation to choose one size smaller than usual.
Distances and participant options:

- 5K Li'l Taters for ages 0 to 4, bibs are not chipped and times are not recorded
Safety and event procedures note that all participants on course including strollers, wagons, and bikes must be registered and wear a bib. Strollers, wagons, and bikes start at the back of the pack.
