Parnall Law Rio Grande Half Marathon and One Medal 5k Run/Walk
The event takes place in Albuquerque at 5500 Balloon Fiesta Parkway and includes two distance options. Distances offered:
- Half marathon
- One Medal 5k Run/Walk
The half marathon course runs through the Albuquerque Bosque with views of the Rio Grande, Bosque cottonwood forest, the Sandia Mountains, and wide New Mexico skies. The course is described as flat from start to finish.
Participants receive technical finisher shirts and medals with New Mexico styling. Post-race activities occur at the Finish Line Fiesta and include live music, local craft beer from Canteen Brewhouse, and New Mexico breakfast burritos from Golden Pride.
Entry fees listed for the event are $70 for the half marathon and $45 for the 5k; prices increase after February 26, 2026. The One Medal program is available at no cost to every participant and is described as a program that promotes encouragement and empowerment; each athlete may give one medal to someone facing significant adversity.
