Rio Grande Half Marathon and One Medal 5k Run/Walk
The event takes place on August 9, 2026, at 5500 Balloon Fiesta Parkway in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It includes a half marathon and a 5k run/walk that route through the Albuquerque Bosque with views of the Rio Grande, Bosque cottonwood forest, the Sandia Mountains, and expansive New Mexico skies.
The half marathon course is flat from start to finish. A separate One Medal 5k Run/Walk follows a shorter route. Finisher awards include technical shirts and medals designed with a New Mexico flair.
A post-race Finish Line Fiesta is scheduled at the finish area. The fiesta features live music, local craft beer from Canteen Brewhouse, and New Mexico breakfast burritos from Golden Pride.
