Love a Nurse Run 5K - Anchorage, May 9, 2026
The Alaska Nurses Association organizes the 10th Annual Love a Nurse 5K with both an in-person option at Goose Lake Park in Anchorage and a virtual option. The event is scheduled for May 9, 2026 and is open to the community.
The in-person 5K follows wooded trails at Goose Lake Park and is described as child and dog friendly. Programming associated with the event includes a Zumba warm-up, a yoga cool-down, and on-site snacks. Teams are permitted, and the event raises funds for the Foundation for Alaska Nurses.
All participants receive the official 2026 Love a Nurse 5K t-shirt, offered in youth and unisex sizing. In-person participants are required to attend a packet pickup session; each packet contains the race bib and the event t-shirt. Packet pickup locations include the AaNA office and a race day pickup at Goose Lake Park.
The virtual 5K takes place during the window from May 1 to May 9, 2026. Virtual participants may complete the distance anywhere and submit results online through May 31, 2026.
