2026 Lost Dog 5k & 10k
The event takes place on October 3, 2026 at the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton, Virginia. Points from the races count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack Series and also count toward the Fall Series.

The course is paved with limited hills. The 5k is an out-and-back route completed once. The 10k is two laps of the 5k course. Water stations are placed along both courses: four roughly on the 5k and eight roughly on the 10k; Gatorade is available at some stations. Restrooms are located near the Visitor Center.
Runners receive a finisher medal, a technical Drifit event shirt, and chip timing. T shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before September 23; extra shirts will be available afterward on a first come first served basis. Registration fees are listed by distance and change after September 15 with an additional increase on race morning.
The race benefits the Lost Dog and Cat Rescue Foundation, which reports 40,000 lives saved since 2001. A virtual race option is available. Live results will be posted online with final results and series points published the Monday after the race. Packet pickup and race day registration are available at the event.
