Lory Summer Trail Series
The Lory Summer Trail Series is a four-evening midweek trail race series held at Lory State Park, Eltuck Picnic Area in Fort Collins, Colorado, in August 2026. The series is organized to introduce newer trail runners to racing on trails and to provide shorter courses for more experienced runners to work on speed. Registration for the 2026 series opened December 15, 2025.

Results are recorded with chip timing and series points are awarded for each race; awards are presented to top series finishers at the end of the series. All registrants may select a vintage Gnar race shirt while supplies last. After each race pizza and beverages are provided with support from local partners.
Race dates include specific course profiles and elevation gain: a valley 5K with 250 feet gain, a hilly 5K with 700 feet gain, a hilly 10K with 1,700 feet gain, and a valley 12K with 500 feet gain. The event notes there is no on-course aid and that permanent toilets are available at the start and finish; additional park restrooms are passed on each course. Parking is at the Eltuck Picnic Area until full, with overflow directed to nearby Spur Road. Bibs are available at the race start and timing chips are pre-attached.
