Wild West Relay
The Wild West Relay is a scenic 200-mile point-to-point running relay from Fort Collins to Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The route passes through the foothills and into the Rocky Mountains, crossing two mountain passes. The event is organized into team categories: a 12-person team (7-12 runners), an Ultra team (4-6 runners), a Super Ultra team (1-3 runners), and a High School Team.
The start line is at the Budweiser Brewing Plant in Fort Collins. The finish is at the Steamboat Springs Ski Resort. There is a mandatory gear check and packet pickup available the afternoon before the race and on race morning. The event utilizes GPS tracking and a mobile app for participants.
Teams can choose to provide two volunteers or pay a volunteer fee, which is distributed to nonprofit groups supporting the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
