Wild West Relay
The Wild West Relay is an overnight team road relay that covers 200 miles and 36 legs from Fort Collins, Colorado, to Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The course moves from the foothills into the Rocky Mountains and crosses two mountain passes.
Registration offers multiple team categories. The event listing includes a 12 person team (7-12 runners), an Ultra team (4-6 runners), a Super Ultra team (1-3 runners), and a High School team. Team registration is managed by a Team Captain who submits team payment, creates a team name and password, and selects the volunteer option during registration. Teammates join the team using that name and password without additional registration cost. The Team Captain is responsible for paying registration fees.
The event relies on course volunteers and offers two team volunteer options. Teams can supply volunteers to staff runner exchanges or make a tax-deductible donation to Windsor Gives, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit; Windsor Gives will email an invoice to the Team Captain.
