Choice City Running Festival
Choice City Running Festival takes place August 7–8, 2026 at Mountain Ave & Howes Street in Fort Collins, CO 80524. The festival includes a Friday evening Mountain Avenue Mile and a Saturday Human Race with a half marathon, 10k, and 5k.
The Mountain Avenue Mile is a point-to-point, slightly downhill 1 mile course on Mountain Avenue. The Mile is organized in multiple waves that separate children, walkers, middle school and high school athletes, pushrim and wheelchair competitors, open age groups, masters, and elite fields. Some masters and elite races offer a cash prize purse. There are two free youth Mile categories: one for ages 12 and under and one for ages 12 to 18.
Combo entries pair the Mountain Avenue Mile with a Saturday race: Mile plus 5k, Mile plus 10k, or Mile plus the half marathon. Published entry fees apply for individual races and combo options. Registration opens April 19, 2026; many events have earlier closing dates while the free youth Mile registrations remain available through the event day.
