Loop the Lake : West Texas Running Club
Loop the Lake is an annual road event held since 1992. The 35th edition is scheduled for January 10, 2026 in Lubbock, Texas, with the venue listed near Cesar E. Chavez Drive at the Landwer House, just west of the university. Both race routes are loops.

Entry, eligibility and event services
Bib pickup is available on race day only. Entry fees are $8 for West Texas Running Club members and for non-member children ages 7-12 in the 2-mile, and $20 for non-members for either distance. There is no race day registration and no refunds. The event lists age requirements: 7 and older for the 2-mile, 13 and older for the 5-mile, and strollers are permitted for participants 18 and older on the 2-mile only. The event does not include a race T-shirt.
Records and participation
The event maintains age-group and overall records for both the 2-mile and 5-mile distances. Recent finish counts are provided for past years, for example 229 finishers in 2025, 188 in 2024, and 186 in 2023. Photo galleries and videos from previous editions are available.
