Looney Days 5K
Looney Days 5K is a 5 kilometer community run and walk held on 08/01/2026 at Vergas City Beach in Vergas, Minnesota. The event starts and finishes at Vergas City Beach and follows a mixed-surface lakeside route.
The course begins on a paved trail and continues across a floating bridge. Participants then follow Tin Can Alley, a grassy path with natural terrain that requires attention to footing. The route returns over the floating boardwalk and proceeds along the shoreline of Long Lake. The final stretch is on pavement. Volunteers are stationed along the route to provide guidance and encouragement.
