Longest Night Mile : Phoenix
The Longest Night Mile is a one mile track race held at Phoenix High School Track, 745 N Rose St, Phoenix, OR 97535. The course is four laps around the high school track, marked as a single one mile event.
Registration opens March 1, 2026 and closes December 20, 2026. Entry can be made by paying a $13 online fee or a $15 day of fee paid in cash or check. There is an alternative entry option that accepts two to three or more boxes of dry cereal in place of the monetary fee. Collected fees and donated cereal support the SOU Student Food Pantry.
Runners are organized into heats by target pace. Pace groups include a sub 5:45 pace group, a 5:46 to 7:00 group, a 7:00 to 9:00 group, a 9:00 to 11:00 group, and an 11:00 and up group. Participants must sign a waiver to take part.
Awards include ribbons for the top three places in each age group. There is a $100 prize for any male who runs under 4:00 minutes and any female who runs under 4:40 minutes. The event prohibits roller skaters, bicycles, skateboards, baby joggers, dogs, headphones, and unregistered participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
