Event overview
The Long Beach Pride Run takes place on Sunday, May 17, 2026, in Long Beach, CA, with the start/finish at Ocean Blvd. and Junipero Ave. The event includes these distances:
- 5k Run/Walk
- 10k Run
- 200 ft Pride sKIDaddle (without a running adult)
The 10k is restricted to runners only. The Shoreline Frontrunners of Long Beach organize the 34th annual Pride Run. All net proceeds are donated to local charities, including The LGBTQ Center in Long Beach, the South Bay LGBTQ Center in Torrance, the Aids Food Store, the CARE program at St. Mary’s, LA CADA, and Gay for Good.
Logistics and course
The course starts and finishes at Ocean Blvd. and Junipero Ave. Runners descend a ramp to the Junipero parking lot; 10k runners follow the beach path for about 1.5 miles to a turnaround near gangway YY before returning to the 5k route. The 5k route turns toward Belmont Pier and Rosie’s dog beach and returns to the finish.
Chip timing is provided via a timing chip attached to the race bib; participants must cross the timing device at the race start and finish to record an official time. A full bag check service is available for registered participants. There is no event parking; street parking along the parade route is prohibited and nearby streets will be limited.
