Event Overview
The Shoreline Frontrunners of Long Beach host the 34th annual Pride Run on May 17, 2026. It takes place along the scenic Long Beach beach path. This event is the club's major fundraiser, with all net proceeds donated to local LGBTQ+ and community charities.
Course & Events
The race starts and finishes at Ocean Blvd. and Junipero Ave. Runners descend a ramp to the Junipero parking lot. The course uses the beach running path.
The event offers three main activities:
- A 5k Run/Walk.
- A 10k Run (for runners only, to meet a course time limit).
- A 200ft Pride sKIDaddle for children before the main race. Kids receive a unique medal, and a bib coloring station is available.
A chip timing system is used, with the chip integrated into the race bib.
Charitable Impact
Proceeds from the event support several local organizations, including The LGBTQ Center in Long Beach, The South Bay LGBTQ center in Torrance, The Aids Food Store, The CARE program at St. Mary's, LA CADA, and Gay for Good.
Race Day Details
The event occurs on the same day as the Long Beach Pride Parade. All participants must finish by 9:30 AM, as the parade starts nearby at approximately 10:00 AM. An awards ceremony begins at 9:00 AM at the bluff at Junipero and Ocean, with medals for top finishers in various categories.
Important note: There is no designated event parking. Street parking is extremely limited due to parade preparations. Organizers recommend arriving early to find parking farther away, walking to the venue, or using public transportation, ride-shares, bikes, or scooters.
A bag check service is available for registered runners, with bags needing to be collected by 10:00 AM. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
