Long Beach City Manager's 10 Mile Race to Remember
This annual road race is a 10 mile event held in Long Beach and presented as the City Manager's Race to Remember. The event is dedicated to those who made the supreme sacrifice and is staged as an established community race; the listing notes it as the 49th annual edition.
Registration is not yet open. Bibs and event shirts are distributed at number pick up on race day at Laurelton and the Boardwalk at street level, while supplies last. Runners who register at least three weeks in advance are eligible to receive a personalized race number. Participants must know their bib number to collect race materials; a self lookup area is available for those who do not.
Amenities include event T-shirts while supplies last, personalized bibs for early registrants, and an award ceremony following the race.
Awards are presented for top overall male and female finishers, top male and female active military or veteran finishers, top wheelchair finisher, and top three finishers in multiple age groups ranging from 14 and under through 80 plus.
The course begins near Laurelton and Park and follows a loop that uses Laurelton, Connecticut Avenue, Oceanview, the Boardwalk, Neptune, Shore Road, Pacific, Broadway, and Washington Boulevard before returning to the Boardwalk and finishing at Laurelton.
