Long Beach City Manager's 10 Mile Race to Remember
The event is a road race covering a distance of ten miles along Long Beach streets and the Boardwalk. It is presented as the City Manager's 10 Mile Race to Remember and is dedicated to the memory of the race founder and to those who made the supreme sacrifice. Registration is not yet open and will open prior to the event.
Race amenities include participant T shirts while supplies last and personalized bibs for those registered at least three weeks in advance. Bib and T shirt distribution is handled on the day of the race at Laurelton and the Boardwalk at street level, with items available while supplies last; there is a self lookup area for bib numbers.
Awards are given to top overall male and female finishers, top male and female active military or veteran finishers, top three male and female finishers in multiple age groups from 14 and under through 80 plus, and the top wheelchair finisher. An award ceremony takes place after the race.
Course assembly and the start take place near Laurelton Boulevard and the Boardwalk with a route that proceeds along Park, Connecticut, Oceanview, NY, the Boardwalk, Neptune, Shore Road, Pacific and Broadway before returning to the Boardwalk and finishing at Laurelton.
