About the race
The Long Beach City Manager's 10 Mile Race to Remember is an annual road race dedicated to Those Who Made The Supreme Sacrifice. The event has run for many years and is presented as the City Manager’s 10 Mile Race to Remember, noted as the 49th annual edition in past materials. Registration is not yet open and will open ahead of the event date. Race organizers have provided advance-notification options for future registration periods. Event amenities listed for registrants include T-shirts while supplies last, personalized bibs for those registered three weeks in advance, and an awards ceremony following the race.
Bib and T-shirt distribution takes place on the day of the race at Laurelton and the Boardwalk at street level; a self lookup area is provided for those who do not know their bib number. Awards recognize top overall finishers for men and women, top active military and veteran finishers, top three men and women in multiple age groups from 14 and under through 80 plus, and the top wheelchair finisher. The course begins near Laurelton and Park, follows Laurelton westbound to Connecticut Avenue, proceeds south to Oceanview and east to NY, then south to the Boardwalk. The route continues east along the Boardwalk to Neptune, north to Shore Road and Pacific, through Broadway and Washington Boulevard segments, and returns along Neptune and the Boardwalk to finish at Laurelton.
