Long Beach City Manager's 10 Mile Race to Remember
The event is a 10 mile road race held in Long Beach and presented as an annual City Manager's Race to Remember dedicated to those who made the supreme sacrifice and to the memory of the race founder. Registration is not yet open; the organizer will open registration ahead of the event and offers a notification option for interested participants.
Amenities listed for registrants include T shirts while supplies last, a personalized bib for those registered three weeks in advance, and an award ceremony after the race. Bib and T shirt pickup takes place on the day of the race at Laurelton and the Boardwalk at street level while supplies last. Registrants must know their bib number to pick up a number; a self lookup area is provided for those who do not know their bib number.
Awards cover overall top male and female, top male and female active military or veteran finishers, top three male and female finishers in standard age groups from 14 and under through 80 plus, and a top wheelchair finisher.
The course begins with registration at Laurelton Boulevard and the Boardwalk and uses local streets and the boardwalk, passing Connecticut Avenue, Oceanview, Neptune, Shore Road, Pacific, Broadway and Washington Boulevard before returning to the Boardwalk for the finish.
