Long Beach City Manager's 10 Mile Race to Remember
The Long Beach City Manager's 10 Mile Race to Remember is an annual running event held in Long Beach, New York. Now in its 49th year, the competition is dedicated to those who made the supreme sacrifice and honors the memory of race founder Ralph Kaplan. The event center is located at the Boardwalk and Laurelton Boulevard.
The course utilizes a mix of city streets and the local boardwalk. Participants start at Laurelton Boulevard and Park Avenue, traveling westbound to Connecticut Avenue before turning south toward Oceanview. The route continues through various local streets including Shore Road and Broadway before entering the Boardwalk at Neptune Boulevard and finishing back at Laurelton Boulevard.

Participants who register at least three weeks before the event receive a personalized race bib. Amenities provided to entrants include a t-shirt while supplies last and access to live online results, which include video and finish line photographs. An award ceremony follows the conclusion of the race.
Awards are presented to the top male and female overall finishers, as well as the top wheelchair participant. Special recognition is given to the top male and female active military or veteran finishers. Age group awards are also distributed to the top three male and female finishers in categories ranging from 14 and under to 80 plus.
