Runner In Red 5K Run/Walk
The event is a 5K run/walk held at Eisenhower Park Field #2. It uses a USATF certified 5K course. The event benefits the Runner in Red / Barb's Beer Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charity that raises funds to support lung cancer research and advocacy.

All runners aged 21 and over receive a complimentary Barb’s Beer. A novel titled "Runner in Red" is associated with the event and contributes proceeds to the same fundraising efforts.
Awards are presented for overall and age-group placings. Top overall female and top overall male each receive a trophy. Age-group medals are awarded to the top three in standard age divisions, including 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+. There is also an award for the largest team.
Bib pickup is available in person starting one hour before the event; a self-lookup area is provided for those who do not know their bib number. Virtual entries have bibs shipped within a window that ranges from one week before to one week after the event. Live online results, same-day finish line photos, and event video are offered.
