The Brooklyn Spring
The Brooklyn Spring takes place on March 20, 2027 in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, NY, and is organized by CityTri Runs. The event offers three distances on the same looped course through the park.
- Half - 4 loops: 3.02 mi opener, then three 3.36 mi laps.
- 10K - 2 loops: 2.84 mi opener, then one 3.36 mi lap.
- 5K - 1 loop: 3.1 mi start to finish.
The course runs on the main drive of Prospect Park, closed to cars for the morning and shaded by trees. It is a rolling loop with approximately 140 feet of climbing on every lap. Each distance uses the same loop with a different number of laps. Water stations are located three times per loop and provide water, Gatorade, and gels.
Logistics note: bib pickup is race day only and requires the check-in code from the confirmation email; bib pickup and the finish line share the same location while the starts are located up the course at distance flags. Bag check, portable toilets, and pre-race announcements are provided.
Timing is by professional chip system with live results and per-lap splits. Finishers receive a medal and a tech shirt; refreshments are available after the race. Awards include overall plaques for the top three and age group medals for the top three in each age group. Participants must wear their bib on the front, meet the minimum age requirement of six years, and follow the event rules and timing cutoffs.
