NYC St. Patrick's 5K & 10K
The Never Stop Running Foundation (NSRF) NYC St. Patrick's event takes place at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens. This athletic gathering offers multiple distances for participants to run or walk, with the course traversing various park landmarks. The event is held rain or shine.
Available Distances
- 5K Run/Walk: A single loop on a USATF certified course.
- 10K Run/Walk: Two loops of the 5K course.
- Kiddie Fun Run: A free dash specifically for children.
- Virtual 5K and 10K: Options to complete the distance at any location during the week of the event.
The route is a USATF certified 5K course that passes the Unisphere twice and circles the Fountain of the Planets. The start and finish lines are located on the north side of the Queens Theater. For those in the 10K category, participants must cross the timing mats at the end of each loop to ensure accurate split times and photography.
Participants receive a NYC St. Patrick's t-shirt and post-race refreshments. An informal bag check area is provided in the staging area, and hydration is available at the finish line. Public parking is accessible at the Queens Museum, followed by a walk to the staging area. Online recognition is provided for various age groups ranging from 14 and under to 90 and over.
The event supports the Never Stop Running Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that funds youth and special needs programs and supports the development of athletes at local and national levels. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
