Log na Coille
Log na Coille is a traditional up and down mountain race that starts and finishes near Fenton's pub in County Wicklow. The course covers approximately 10.50 km with about 700 m of climb and is described as moderate terrain with more than 500 m ascent and over 10 km distance. The route is not marked and GPS devices are not allowed.
Entry fees are €7 for seniors and €5 for competitors over 65 and under 18. Entries close Friday 10th July 2026 at 18:00. The event is part of the Irish Championship and the Leinster Championship. There is no junior route for this event.
Registration takes place at the start line at the foot of Camara Hill, about one mile from Fenton's pub. Parking details are to be confirmed. Prizegiving will be at the Glen Store where sandwiches will be provided and teas and coffees available at individual expense; organisers note they can accommodate outside and parking is available across the road in the Glen Lounge.
Mandatory Level C kit is required and includes a waterproof jacket with integrated hood and taped seams; hat or buff; gloves; whistle; charged mobile phone with emergency number stored; foil blanket or bivvy bag; waterproof full leg cover; means to carry a minimum of 500 mL water; emergency food; map of the route or area; and a compass.
