Trooperstown Hill
Trooperstown Hill is a summer mountain running event in County Wicklow that uses a fully marked route and allows GPS navigation. The long route covers approximately 11.50 km with about 455 m of climb. A short course of 5.00 km and a beginners forest loop are also available. Event difficulty is rated 7 (2,2,3), described as moderate terrain with 200 m to 500 m ascent and a distance greater than 10 km.

Mandatory Level B kit is required and must be carried as advised at registration. The kit includes a waterproof jacket, hat or buff, gloves, a whistle, a charged mobile phone with the emergency number stored, and a foil blanket or bivvy bag. Failure to carry required items may result in being denied entry or disqualification and random kit checks may be carried out.
Parking is limited to about 80 spaces near the river; carpooling is mandatory. Organisers provide two carpool pickup locations either side of Trooperstown at Roundwood Cemetery carpark and Laragh free carpark. Registration takes place at the Trooperstown MR Base, grid reference T158969. Prizegiving and post event hospitality are scheduled at Lynhams of Laragh.
