Event
Trooperstown Hill is an Irish Mountain Running Association race in County Wicklow on Wednesday 15 July 2026. The course climb is 455 m and the long course distance is 11.50 km. The event difficulty is rated 7 (2,2,3) - moderate terrain, 200-500 m ascent, and a course length over 10 km. The route is fully marked and GPS use is allowed. The race is part of the Leinster League.

Mandatory Level B kit must be carried and includes a waterproof jacket, hat or buff, gloves, whistle, charged mobile phone with an emergency number stored, and a foil blanket or bivvy bag. The exact kit to be carried may be finalised on the day and will be advised at registration. Random kit checks may be carried out. Participation in the Beginners’ Forest Loop is not covered by IMRA insurance; children must be supervised by a parent or guardian.
Logistics
Registration is at the Trooperstown MR Base (grid reference A98 VY72); parking is at the car park by the river (grid ref T 158 969) and is a short walk from the MR Base. Carpooling is mandatory because parking is limited to about 80 spaces. There are two designated carpool meeting locations near Trooperstown and a nearby free Laragh carpark with extended opening hours for participants. Results will be posted in a forum post after the race, not in the event results section. Organisers will collect running kit at registration for donation to new trail runners. Volunteers are requested and non-running volunteer roles count toward end-of-year prize eligibility. Entries details were not available on the event page.
