Trooperstown Hill
Trooperstown Hill is a mountain running event in County Wicklow held on Wednesday 15th July 2026. The main route covers a total ascent of 455 m and is over 10 km in length. The route is fully marked and GPS use is allowed.

- 11.50 km long course, notable ascent
- 5.00 km short/junior course
- 2.2 km beginners forest loop, free participation
The event carries an IMRA difficulty rating of 7 (2,2,3) indicating moderate terrain with 200 m to 500 m ascent and a course length over 10 km. A mandatory Level B kit list applies for all runners; required items include a waterproof jacket, hat or buff, gloves, whistle, charged mobile phone with an emergency number stored, and a foil blanket or bivvy bag. Participants must be able to carry the kit; random kit checks may be carried out and lack of required items can result in denied entry or disqualification.
Entry opens on 13 July 2026 and closes on 15 July 2026. Entry fees are €7 for seniors and €5 for over 65s and under 18s. Entry is limited to 250 places. Parking at the event is limited to about 80 spaces and carpooling is mandatory; parking is not permitted at the MR Base used for registration. Registration takes place at the Trooperstown MR Base and is a short walk from the river carpark. Results will be posted in a forum post after the event. Running kit donations will be collected at registration for redistribution to new trail runners. Children in the beginners loop must be supervised by a guardian and that loop is not covered by IMRA insurance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
