Glen of the Downs Trail Race
The Glen of the Downs event is a trail race located in County Wicklow. The race takes place on varied terrain with a route that is fully marked for participants. Global Positioning System (GPS) devices are permitted for navigation and tracking during the event. This competition is part of the Trail League Leinster.
Participants can choose between two different course lengths:
- 8.15 km with a total climb of 292 meters
- 4.88 km short course
The event is categorized with a difficulty rating of 5, which indicates easy terrain and an ascent between 200 and 500 meters. Due to the nature of the course, there is a mandatory kit requirement (Level A). All runners must bring a showerproof and windproof jacket. The final kit requirements are confirmed at registration based on the weather conditions on the day of the race.
The event hub is located near the Glenview Hotel and Outdoor Living. Parking facilities are limited to 80 spaces, and participants are encouraged to share vehicles.
