Event Details

The Glen of the Downs is a trail race taking place in County Wicklow. The event includes a long course of 8.15 km with 292 m of climb and a short course of 4.88 km. The event difficulty is rated as easy terrain.

Route and Logistics

The route is fully marked and the use of GPS devices is permitted. All runners must bring a showerproof, windproof jacket (Level A Mandatory Kit). The final decision on what kit must be carried during the race will be made on the day based on conditions.

Parking is available, with charges based on the number of occupants per vehicle. There is limited space for approximately 80 cars, so carpooling is encouraged.

After the Race

Sandwiches and drinks will be provided after the race. An ice cream van may be present, weather permitting, and a burger and coffee van will also be selling food. Prize giving will take place in the car park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
