Glen of the Downs
This is a trail race held at Glen of the Downs in County Wicklow. The main course covers a distance of 8.15 km with a total climb of 292 m. A shorter junior route of 4.88 km is also provided. The route is fully marked and GPS devices are permitted.
Event difficulty is listed as 5 with Easy Terrain classification, corresponding to 200 m to 500 m ascent and a typical distance band of 6 km to 10 km. The race is part of the Trail League Leinster. Mandatory kit is Level A basic and includes a showerproof, windproof jacket. The exact kit to carry during the race may be finalised at registration depending on conditions. All runners must bring required items; failure to have them may lead to denied entry or disqualification and random checks may be carried out.
Entry fees are EUR 7 for seniors and EUR 5 for over 65s and under 18s. Entries open Monday 27 July 2026 and close Wednesday 29 July 2026. Usual IMRA parking charges apply: free for a full car or 4/3/2 euro per vehicle depending on occupants. Parking is at the Outdoor Living car park, Eircode A98W3V8, with room for about 80 cars. Ballydonagh Lane is private and not for parking.
