Event overview

The Llama Experience Ultra is a trail running event on March 14, 2026, at Earthshine Lodge in Lake Toxaway, North Carolina (1600 Golden Rd). Course and support

The course is a marked trail with red ribbons and yellow arrows through mountain and foggy terrain where llamas live on the property. Aid station offerings include pickles, cereal, fruit, candy, pretzels, bacon, Tailwind, water, and soda. First aid is available onsite. Trekking poles are allowed on the course. Dogs and strollers are not permitted unless an exception is granted.

Logistics and facilities

This is a private event. Limited onsite lodging is available: eight lodge rooms (three beds each) and two cabins located near the start/finish area. Results and event photos are posted after the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
