Llama Experience Ultra
The Llama Experience Ultra is a looped trail running event held on the private land of Earthshine Lodge near Lake Toxaway, NC. The event offers timed running options and takes place on a marked trail with red ribbons and yellow arrows through foggy, mountainous terrain that llamas also inhabit.

Runners and walkers may participate if they can finish within the event time limits. The course allows trekking poles. The event is private and enforces a no-dogs, no-strollers policy unless an exception is granted.
Support on course includes a well stocked aid station with pickles, cereal, fruit, candy, pretzels, bacon, and drinks such as Tailwind, water, and soda. First aid is available onsite. Finishers receive a handmade pottery medal from BlueGill Pottery; each piece is unique. All finishers also receive a race beanie which may feature a llama.
Limited onsite lodging is available, including eight lodge rooms with three beds each and two cabins located near the start and finish area. Photos from the event are posted about one week after the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
