Live Love Run 21K
The 14th Annual Live Love Run is a community event held in Fort Langley, British Columbia. The event raises funds for Abreast In A Boat, a dragon boat team consisting of breast cancer survivors. The races take place at Brae Island Regional Park, located on an island in the Fraser River, and utilize the Fort-to-Fort Trail.
The course consists of a wide, urban trail with compact dirt and gravel. Participants cross the Glover Road bridge to reach trails following the river's edge, featuring views of the Golden Ears and surrounding mountains. The terrain includes rolling hills and is noted as being stroller friendly.
Available distances include:
- 21 km: An out and back route that includes the Brae Island Regional Park loop.
- 10 km: An out and back route along the Fraser River.
- 5 km: A flat trail course moving through forests and fields.
- 1 km: A fun run on a flat dirt path for participants of all ages.
The event has a maximum capacity of 300 participants. As a cupless event, runners are required to carry their own reusable water bottles or cups for use at aid stations stocked with water and snacks. All finishers receive a medal, and awards are presented to the top three overall finishers for each distance. A virtual participation option is also available for those unable to attend in person.
