About the race
HIGH FIVE 5K is a free, monthly community run, walk, and jog hosted by the Khalsa Seva Alliance Foundation across parks in Surrey, Delta, and Langley. The September 2026 edition takes place at Bear Creek Park in Surrey, BC (13750 88 Avenue).
The event is a sunrise community gathering built around a 5 km loop. Participants walk, jog, or run at their own pace; the format is non-competitive and there is no registration fee. Everyone receives a medal at the start line to acknowledge attendance. The event operates on voluntary donations only.
On the day there is a short group warm-up followed by the group moving around the 5 km route. Refreshments and informal community time are available after the loop. The event emphasizes simple, shared movement in a park setting and is presented as a regular community activity rather than a timed race.
