Event Overview
The Little River Rush Half Marathon is a point-to-point road race through the Townsend area. It is scheduled for May 16, 2026.
Course Details
The course starts at the Smoky Mountain Heritage Center and finishes at Heritage High School in Maryville, Tennessee. It travels on back roads and features mountain views. The route has over 600 feet of total descent and more than 200 feet of net downhill.
Race Logistics
Parking for all participants is at Heritage High School, the finish area. Buses transport runners from there to the start staging area at Peaceful Side Social on Townsend Square Drive. The final bus departs at 6:45 AM. The race starts at 7:30 AM.
Packet pickup is available on Friday evening and on Saturday morning at Heritage High School.
Aid stations with water and Gatorade are located at miles 4, 7, and 10. Portable restrooms are available at the start, finish, and along the course.
Awards and Amenities
All finishers receive a custom finisher's medal. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers, and the top three in each age group.
