Little River Rush Half Marathon
The Little River Rush is a series of running events held in Maryville, Tennessee, with the finish area at Heritage High School (3741 E Lamar Alexander Pkwy). The primary event is a 13.1 Miles point-to-point half marathon that travels from the Townsend area to the finish at Heritage High School along local back roads.
The half marathon course features over 600 feet of total descent and more than 200 feet of net downhill. The course is USATF certified for age group and national records and may be used for time standards required by other races. Aid stations are located at miles 4, 7, and 10 and will offer water and Gatorade. Portable restrooms are available at Heritage High School and at the start area, with additional portables placed along the course.
Other events on the same weekend include a virtual 13.1 Miles option, a 5K, and a kids mile called The Cub Run with Miles. Entry fees listed for the organizer include $70 for the in-person half marathon, $70 for the virtual half marathon, $40 for the 5K, and $25 for the kids mile.
Logistics note: participants are expected to park at Heritage High School where buses will transport runners to the start staging area. All finishers receive a custom finisher medal; registration by May 1 guarantees a medal and a race shirt order can be placed by the same date.
