LIRRC Ducks Wednesday Night Summer Series
The LIRRC Ducks Wednesday Night Summer Series is a recurring set of community road races held on Wednesday nights from May through August at Eisenhower Park Field 2, Parking Lot 2, East Meadow, NY 11554. The series offers multiple short-distance events across the season.
Distances and formats include:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Run/Walk as part of the USATF-LI Grand Prix
- Kids Fun Run with a ribbon for each child
Registration options and pricing vary by night and entry type. Membership in the Long Island Road Runners Club reduces per-race registration to $10. All 5Ks are free for participants ages 17 and under through the elitefeats Strides for Community program in partnership with All Round Foods; the 1 Mile Grand Prix night is not included in that program. Active military are eligible for free entry through the organizer.
On-site amenities listed for race nights include refreshments and water, music, live results with finish-line photos and video, raffles including a 50/50, and post-race food courtesy of All Round Foods. Awards are presented to the top overall male and female and the top three male and female finishers in standard age-group categories.
