Commack Volunteer Ambulance Run for your Life 5K Run/Walk
This community road event in Commack, NY features a main 5K Run/Walk and a separate fun run. The course is USATF certified. The event benefits the Commack Volunteer Ambulance Corps, a volunteer not-for-profit ambulance service that has provided pre-hospital emergency care and transportation in the Commack area and parts of Hauppauge, Smithtown, Elwood, and East Northport for over 50 years.
Amenities and services for participants include event shirts for the first 300 registrants, live online/text/email results, free finish line photos, and personalized bibs for those who register at least three weeks in advance. Bib pickup requires knowledge of the assigned bib number; a self-lookup area is available for those who do not know their number.
Awards are given to top finishers overall and in age-group categories, with separate recognition for first responders. Live results, same-day finish line video, and finish photos are provided after the event. Registration for future editions is noted as not yet open.
