About the race
The Commack Volunteer Ambulance Run for your Life is a community running event hosted by the Commack Volunteer Ambulance Corps in Commack, NY. The event features a USATF certified course and includes both a main race and a separate fun run.
Registration is not yet open. Amenities listed by the organizer include T-shirts for the first 300 registrants, live online/text/email results, free finish line photos, and personalized race bibs for those who register three weeks in advance. Bib pickup is managed by event staff; registrants need to know their bib number to collect a bib and a self-lookup area is available for those who do not.
Awards are offered in multiple categories: top three male and female overall, top three male and female first responders (also eligible for other awards), top three male and female in standard age groups through 50-59, and single top male and female awards for the 60-69 and 70+ categories.
The beneficiary is the Commack Volunteer Ambulance Corps, a volunteer, not-for-profit community ambulance service that has provided pre-hospital emergency care and transportation for the Commack area and parts of Hauppauge, Smithtown, Elwood, and East Northport for over 50 years.
