Event details
The Lions Run for Sight 5K is scheduled for Saturday, April 4, 2026, in Lexington, Kentucky. The 39th annual event is set at Masterson Station Park, 3051 Leestown Road, Lexington, KY 40511. The course is an out-and-back 5K on paved roadway. Runners, walkers, families, strollers, and dogs on a leash are permitted to participate.
Features and beneficiaries
Race services include chip timing and race management provided by RaceRise, commemorative race T-shirts, overall and age group awards, free race photos, music, food, and fellowship. The event offers Vision Teams and team pricing with a prize for the largest Vision Team. Organizers are planning over 75 door prizes. Carabba's Italian Grill will again provide food for participants; the menu is to be determined.
The race raises funds for local and state vision-related programs, including Kentucky Lions Youth Camps, the Kentucky Lions Eye Foundation, eyeglass purchases for those who cannot afford them, Central Kentucky Radio Eye, Leader Dogs, and other club service projects. Packet pickup is planned at Fleet Feet Lexington at The Summit at Fritz Farm and on race morning at Masterson Station Park, where T-shirts, bibs, and goodie bags will be available at the registration table. Team registration offers a $3.00 discount for the fifth and subsequent members; after a team reaches five members, the first four receive a $3.00 refund.
