ACORN Linn Park Trail Race
The event takes place in Linn Park, Glasgow on 15 February 2026. The start and finish are located near the Halfpenny Bridge, a cast iron bridge built in 1811 and noted as the oldest single span cast iron bridge in Glasgow.
Distances
- 10 km roughly, two laps within Linn Park with hills and trail sections.
- 5 km single lap, covering the same park trails and terrain.
The route stays entirely within Linn Park and follows the Centenary Trail created by the Friends of Linn Park. Information boards along the trail describe the park history. The course does not cross into Castlemilk Woodlands and avoids the steps side of the White Cart Walkway. Terrain includes undulations, a couple of hills, muddy sections and some tree roots. A GPX route file is provided.
Entry is limited to 100 runners. Early bird entry for the 10k is priced at £12 until 1 January 2026, then £15. The 5k entry fee is £10. The closing date for entries is 10 February 2026.
Finish line times are recorded manually; race bibs should be clearly visible on the front of the body. Water and snacks will be available at the finish. The Friends of Linn Park provide marshals and support for the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
