Lincolnshire Rotary Red, White & Boom 5K Run/Walk
The event is a community 5K run and walk held at Spring Lake Park, 49 Oxford Drive, Lincolnshire, as part of Lincolnshire’s annual Red White & Boom July 4th celebration. It is presented as the town’s 44th annual Rotary 4th of July 5K and is described as family friendly.
The course runs through tree-lined streets of Lincolnshire. It is described as flat and fast, with every mile clearly marked, and the course is sanctioned and certified by USATF. Walkers are welcome. Performance short-sleeved t-shirts are given to registrants while supplies last.
Packet pickup is available July 3 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at North Park with a drive through option, or on July 4 beginning at 6:30 am at Spring Lake Park. Participants are asked not to park on Lincolnshire Drive; parking is available north of Route 22 at the Lincolnshire Club on Elm Road.
Age divisions start at 10 and under, include 11 to 14, and continue in five-year increments through 70 and over. Awards are given to the first three overall male and female finishers, to first through third in each age group, and to the first place male and female Lincolnshire finishers. No one may receive more than one award.
Registration is offered in Kids and Adult categories, each with early-bird, regular, and day-of pricing. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
