Event overview
Linacre Infini is a timed trail endurance race held on 31 October 2026 at Linacre Reservoirs, Woodnook Lane, Cutthorpe, Chesterfield, Derbyshire, S42 7JN. The event uses a lapped format: runners aim to complete as many laps as possible within a 6-hour period. Each lap is 4.6 km. The route runs around three reservoirs in a wooded valley, follows marked and well-maintained trails and footpaths, and includes some short climbs. The course is marshalled and the event is held under permit from the Association of Running Clubs. A Linacre Infini medal is awarded to every runner who completes at least one lap. The 2023 record was 13 laps.
Practical information
The minimum age for entry is 18 or older. Entry fees listed are UKA members £30.00 and non-members £32.00. The start-finish checkpoint offers food options, both sweet and savoury. Car parking is available at Linacre Reservoirs for £3.50, cash only. Results and past race reports are published for previous editions.
