Linacre Infini: for Ashgate Hospice
Linacre Infini is a timed six hour lapped trail endurance event held at Linacre Reservoirs in North East Derbyshire, adjacent to the eastern edge of the Peak District. The route is fully marked and follows well maintained trails and footpaths through a wooded valley containing three reservoirs. The terrain is mostly on tracks and paths with some short climbs.
Participants aim to complete as many laps as possible within the six hour limit. Each lap is 5 km and runners and walkers pass the checkpoint at the end and start of every lap.
The event takes place at Linacre Reservoirs, Woodnook Lane, Chesterfield S42 7JN. Registration is at the reservoirs and car parking costs £3.50. The minimum age is 18. Entry fees are UKA member £30.00 and non member £32.00. Entries open 2 March 2026 and close 26 October 2026. All event profits on 1 November are being donated to Ashgate Hospice; First Light Adventure and Severn Trent Water are waiving event costs.
A checkpoint provides food both sweet and savoury and drinks including water, squash and coke. Every finisher receives an Ashgate medal. Prizes are awarded for the most laps completed for male and female participants. Medic cover is provided on the course and at the race headquarters.
