Ricky's Race

Ricky's Race is a friendly 7.3 km (4.5 miles) running event held near Darley Dale, close to Matlock. The course features a mix of forest trails, technical surfaces with tree roots, and several challenging ascents, including a steep final climb to the Oker Trig Point, offering spectacular views over the Derwent Valley. After the tough hill, runners enjoy a mostly downhill finish with some technical descents before a final sprint to the finish line.

The race climbs 240 meters (787 feet) in total and is known for its varied terrain and scenic outlooks. Entry is limited to 300 runners aged 16 and over, with pre-registration required. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
